Mr. Martin graduated with Honors and magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in 2004 where he received a Bachelor of Arts in political science with minors in business management and Russian. In 2003, Mr. Martin interned for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. While there, he attended Georgetown University. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Martin received the following awards and distinctions: Presidential Scholar, Sunmark Foundation Scholar, Heritage Scholar and Humane Studies Fellow.
In 2007, Mr. Martin received a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. While at UCLA School of Law, he participated in Moot Court and drafted a research paper titled "Statutory Redemption in the Western United States." Mr. Martin founded and was president of the UCLA Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. He took numerous classes in securities and finance law, receiving top grades. Mr. Martin assisted with the publication of the Journal of Law and Technology and the Entertainment Law Review.
While attending UCLA School of Law, Mr. Martin clerked at a class action law firm in Santa Monica, California. After graduation, he practiced law in a firm specializing in complex business litigation. Mr. Martin has significant experience in law and motion and has successfully argued numerous motions before a judge. Mr. Martin is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is a member of the business law section of the State Bar of California.
