Robbins Umeda & Fink, LLP was counsel in a class action suit brought on behalf of pension Xcel Energy, Inc. plan participants against fiduciaries at Xcel Energy for violation of duties owed under the Employment Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA"). The settlement agreement reached provided an $8 million cash settlement to Plan members, lifted Plan sales restrictions, and allowed Plan members to recover in the parallel securities action that paid over $80 million to shareholders.
